Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test substance at apparent test concentration of 90% of the saturation solubility in water shows a corrected surface tension of 44.4 mN/m at 20 °C (±0.1 °C) according to the OECD harmonised ring method (EU Method A.5). As the surface tension is lower than 60 mN/m, the test substance should be regarded as a surface active material.

Additional information

The surface tension was determined by the OECD harmonized ring method according to EU Method A.5 in 2010 by the Výzkumný ústav organických syntéz a.s (Štreit V). The test substance was dissolved in re-distilled water. The age of the solution was 26 hours before the start of measurements. The test substance at apparent test concentration of 90% of the saturation solubility in water shows a corrected surface tension of 44.4 mN/m at 20 °C (±0.1 °C).
