The data provided under the 12 year rule is insufficient to confirm DNEL and this should have been perforemd by the reviewing national CA when the NONS submission was first assessed. These figures are estimates based on no-observed effect level of 1000 mg/kg/day in a sub-acute oral test.

The basis of the estimates are from the technical guidance, based on:

The worker figures can be halved by doubling the AF when extrapolating from worker to general population. However, these figures are not only considered unreliable in the absence of adequate test data being made available, but are also irrelevent in view of the poor stability of the substance and the fact it is not supplied ot the general population.

The dermal local effect DNEL is based on the absence of loal effects.
