Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Drink plenty of water. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Use water spray, foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide (CO2)
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Do NOT use water jet.
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Hazardous decomposition products - Carbon oxides (COx)
Further information : Water mist may be used to cool closed containers.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Try to prevent the material from entering drains or water courses.
Methods for cleaning up : Scrape-up. Keep in suitable, closed containers for disposal. Clean contaminated surface thoroughly.
Further information: Contaminated surfaces will be extremely slippery.
Handling and storage
Handling: Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. Provide adequate ventilation.
Storage: Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
