The relative densities (specific gravities) of the three representative lanolin alcohols was Super Hartolan (0.953), Hartolan (0.941) and Argowax (0.904)

There is a requirement for the company to provide data on our products for REACH registry, this report details the work carried out analyse the relative density (specific gravity) of lanolin alcohols Super Hartolan, Hartolan and Argowax.
A single sample of each product was analyzed
All test materials under study are solid at room temperature and thus the temperature at which the analysis was carried out was set at approximately 10°C above the maximum drop point as determined by the product specification.
The determination was carried out using the pycnometer method, Method A3 Relative Density of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 (pycnometer).
