Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The activated sludge respiration inhibition test does not need to be conducted as this substance was found to be readily biodegradable in an OECD 301 F Manometric respiration test at an application concentration of 100 mg/L. There was no evidence for toxicity to bacteria (Evonik Industries, 1999). Furthermore the 16h-EC10 was determined to be > 8000 mg/L for Ethyltriglycol methacrylate. (Klimisch score: 4, Invonik Industries 1988)

Additional information

The activated sludge respiration inhibition test does not need to be conducted as this substance was found to be readily biodegradable in an OECD 301 F Manometric respiration test at an application concentration of 100 mg/L (BMG 1999 for Evonik). There was no evidence for toxicity to bacteria. (for details of the study please see chapter: 5.2.1). Furthermore the toxicity of the substance to microorganisms (Pseudomonas putida) was evaluated in an activated sludge respiration inhibition test according to DIN 38412, part 8. The evaluated 16h-EC10 was determined to be > 8000 mg/L for Ethyltriglycol methacrylate. (Klimisch score: 4, Hüls AG 1988 for Evonik)
