Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The test substance is gas under all environmental conditions. It has a high vapour pressure (513291 Pa) and Henry's Law constant (518.6 Pa m3/mol), and low Log Kow (0.07) and Koc (7.8 L/kg). Consequently, environmental releases will result in virtually all of the substance compartmentalising in the atmosphere. The relatively high apparent water solubility of the substance which is based on its measurement in a closed system suggests that atmospheric deposition to land and water could occur, however due to its high volatility and Henry’s Law constant and low sorption to soil this would likely result in rapid redistribution from both soil and water to air. The substance is stable to hydrolysis and does not biodegrade, but undergoes rapid atmospheric oxidation (atmospheric lifetime = 5.1 days) (Good, et al., 1998) and therefore it will not persist in the environment and does not contribute to ozone depletion or global warming.
