Description of key information

The BCF of Cashmeran in Cyprinus carpio was investigated according to OECD TG 305 in a flow-through test under GLP. The steady state BCF's (based on whole body wet weight) for 3 peaks in the chromatogram were found to be 82, 92 and 140, respectively. The worst-case BCF of 140 (for the main component) can be converted to a standard fish lipid content of 5%. Thus a BCF of 140/4.45*5 = 157 is used for further evaluations.

The BCF in earthworms was estimated with the equation from Jager (1998) to be 191 l/kg ww.
