Endpoint:
auto-ignition temperature (liquids)
Data waiving:
study technically not feasible
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted for liquid organic peroxides, because the vapours decompose during the execution of the test

Description of key information

Test method (EU A.15) is not applicable as methyl ethylketone peroxide decomposes under the required test conditions. Therefore no test was performed. Self-Accerelating Decomposition Temperature (SADT) of methyl ethylketone peroxide is 60 °C (see section 4.3, ; reference SADT: CLP regulations 2.15.2.3 and UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of tests and Criteria, 5th revised edition, sub-sections 28.1, 28.2, 28.3 and Table 28.3). See also ECHA guidance on the application of the CLP criteria, section 2.14.
