Additional information

Due to the complex nature of bitumens, single numerical values for boiling point are not meaningful. Bitumens are residual products from vacuum distillation. In general they have boiling points (EN15199-2/IP507) over 320°C (hard bitumen usually > 500°C), reflecting the distillation temperature (CONCAWE, 1992a).
