Description of key information

The results of a study performed to OECD301C (CITI, 1988) indicate that acrylonitrile was not readily biodegradable under the test conditions.  In contrast, the results of a study performed to OECD 302C (CITI, 1988) indicate that acrylonitrile was inherently biodegradable.
