Additional information

From the log Kow = -2.20 for Sulfuric acid (because it cannot be calculated for sodium) a BCF value is calculated with EPI Suite (2000). The calculated BCF value is 0.5.

Sodium sulfate is an ionic substance which is easily soluble in water and does not adsorb. From these characteristics and the calculated BCF value it can be concluded that sodium sulfate will not bioaccumulate and a toxicity test with birds is not needed to be performed.
