Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The criteria set out in Annex XIII to REACH regulation for the identification of persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) substances, and very persistent and very bioaccumulative (vPvB) substances do not apply to inorganic substances. MMVF note Q fibres are inorganic substances as presented in Part B, section 1.3 of this report and in the technical dossier (see section 4). Therefore, a PBT and vPvB assessment for MMVF note Q fibres is not applicable.

However, it is emphasised that MMVF note Q fibres are not bioavailable and do not bioaccumulate, that they are biosoluble, and that they are not toxic as presented in this report (see sections 5 and 7). Thus, it is concluded that MMVF note Q fibres are neither classified as dangerous nor meet the PBT / vPvB criteria.
