Hydrolysis

The test substance is considered to be stable in aqueous solutions (Currenta, 2008).

Biodegradation

A prolonged test on ready biodegradability showed that the test substance was degraded after a lag phase of approximately one week reaching the pass level of 60 percent degradation after 47 days (Bayer Industry Services, 2004).

Bioaccumulation- aquatic

The aquatic BCF of the test substance maximally accounts for 212 measured at an aqueous concentration of the test item of 0.1 mg/L (Mitsubishi, 2003). Thus, the test item is assumed to have only a low potential to accumulate in aquatic organisms.

Transport and Distribution

Adsorption/ Desorption

The soil adsorption coefficient of the test substance was calculated yielding a logKoc range between 4.7 and 9.3 (Currenta, 2010) assuming a high potential to sorb on soil and sediment.

Henry's Law Constant

The test substance is characterized by a calculated Henry's Law Constant between 0.040 and 0.061 Pa*m³/mol at a temperature of 20 °C (Currenta, 2010). According to Thomas, cited in the "Handbook of Chemical property Estimation Methods" (Lyman, 1980), the substance tends to partition in water and volatilisation rates are controlled by the slow diffusion through the air. Therefore, the substance has to be scored as being essentially nonvolatile from water.
