Description of key information

Since the test substance is a liquid, the flammability is preferably described by the flash point.
Furthermore, according to REACh Annex XI, section 1, testing for pyrophoric properties and flammability on contact with water is scientifically not justified due to the existing experience with handling and use of the test substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Sulfonic acids, C10 -21 -alkane, Ph esters does not need to be classified as flammable because:

- Based on experience during handling and use of the test item, pyrophoric properties and flammability on contact with water can be excluded.

- Based on intrinsic substance properties, the flash point is assumed to be above 200 °C.
