Description of key information

Acute very toxic to aquatic invertebrates
Daphnia magna: EC50(48h) = 0.16 mg/L

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Several studies markedly indicate, that aniline is acute very toxic to aquatic invertebrates. Among them, a GLP and guideline conform study, performed by the Danish EPA, was selected as the most sensitive and reliable endpoint (Pedersen et al. 1998). In a semi-static test according to OECD guideline 202, an EC50(48h) of 0.16 mg/l was determined for Daphnia magna (measured concentration).
