Description of key information

No neurotoxicity study is available. However, a two-generation inhalation reproductive toxicity (WIL Research Laboratories, 2001a;Siddiqui, W. H.et al.2007) and developmental neurotoxicity study of octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4) in rats (Research and Development Corporation, 1993a; York, R. and Schardein, J. L. 1994a) and several repeated dose toxicity studies (Batelle (2004) revealed no signs of neurotoxicity.

There were no histomorphological evidence of neurotoxicity.
