Description of key information

waiving of toxicity study to terrestrial arthropods

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex X, the long term toxicity testing on invertebrates study does not need to be conducted as direct and indirect exposure of the soil compartment is unlikely.  The substance shows a low adsorptive (log Koc = 2.2) as well as a low bioaccumulative (log Kow = 2.89) potential. Hence, a relevant distribution into soil and a considerable exposure of terrestrial arthropods is not expected.
