Description of key information

ptBP affected the reproductive output of Daphnia magna with an estimated EC50 (21-d) value of 2.0 mg/L. The NOEC and LOEC values were reported to be 0.73 and 2.3 mg/L (based on nominal concentrations), respectively.

Additional information

In a 21 -day reproduction study with Daphnia Magna, conducted in accordance with the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals No. 202, daphnids were exposed to ptBP at concentrations ranging from 0.073 to 7.3 mg/L, under semi-static conditions (EPA of Japan, 1995). The 21 d-EC50 value was determined to be 2.0 mg/L, based on nominal concentrations, while the NOEC and LOEC were 0.73 and 2.3 mg/L, respectively. A mixture of DMSO and HCO-40 was used as a solubilizer.
