Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Skin contact: Toxic in contact with skin. Was off immediately with plenty of soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist.
EyeContact: May cause irritation to eyes. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 15 minutes holding the eyelids open. Seek medical attention if irritation or symptoms persist.
Inhalation: Inhalation may cause coughing, tightness of the chest and irritation of the respiratory system. Inhalation of vapour may cause shotness of breath. Move the exposed person to fresh air. Seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Ingestion is irritating to the respiratory tract and may cause damage to the central nervous system. If swallowed, seek medical advice
immediately and show this container or label. DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing Media: Use as appropriate carbon Dioxide (CO2), dry chemical or foam
Fire Hazards: Burning produces irritating, toxic and obnoxious fumes.
Protective Equipment: Wear self contained breathing aparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation of the working area, evacuate personnel to safe area, wear suitable protective equipment.
Enviromental precautions: Do not allow product to enter drains, prevent further spillage if safe to do so
Clean up methods: Absorb with inert, absorbant material. Transfer to suitable, labelled containers for disposal. Clean spillage area thoroughly with plenty of water.
with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
Handling: Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Ensure adequate ventilation of the working area.
Storage: Keep in a cool, dry, well ventilated area. Keep containers tightly closed
