In accordance with section 2 of REACH Annex XI, the study on skin sensitisation does not need to be conducted as the substance is a gas. The gaseous nature of vinylidene fluoride precludes the conductance of conventional skin sensitisation studies in animals.

The gaseous nature of vinylidene fluoride precludes the conduct of conventional sensitisation tests in animals.Therefore, classification for sensitisation is not applicable according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC andEU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
