A reliable determination of the vapour pressure of 2-Ethylhexanol according to OECD 104 resp. EU A.4, static method, is available:

Vapour pressures of 93 Pa at 20 °C and 120 Pa at 25 °C were determined.

These values were calculated from the regression of all individual measurements. 25 individual measurements were performed in a temperature range of 18 - 74 °C. The measured values for pressure P and temperature T were used to calculate pairs of log P and 1/T. These values were plotted and from the linear regression the vapour pressure values at ambient temperature were determined.

The vapour pressure of the test item was determined according to DIN-EN 1301-2 with a MiniVap apparatus to less than 1 hPa at 20 °C.

The vapour pressure of the test item was also calculated with SPARC and MPBPWIN and compared to literature values.

Literature values are 18.1 Pa and 19.4 Pa. The calculated values are 27.3 Pa and 31.7 Pa.
