Additional information

The ecotoxicological information was gathered via experimental studies including acute and chronic aquatic toxicity and toxicity to microorganisms. The NOEC values obtained from the studies were used for calculation of the various PNEC values. 

PNEC for secondary poisoning was derived from the NOAEL of the subchronic oral toxicity study.

Three short term ecotoxicity studies were performed at solubility level of Fyrolflex BDP (fish, algae and daphnia). Results of these studies showed value of EC50> 1 mg/l for all the examined species. One long-term was performed on Fyrolflex BDP (chronic toxicity toDaphnia magna). The NOEC value derived from this study is 1.8 mg/l.

Based on the chronic study result, PNEC values for aquatic organisms (fresh and marine), sediment and soil were calculated.

An NOEC of 1000 mg/l for microorganisms was derived from the activated sludge inhibition study. Based on this study the PNEC stp value was derived.

The NOAEL value derived from the 28 days Oral toxicity study is 1000 mg*Kgbw/day was used for calculating the PNEC oral value for secondary poisoning.

Based on NOEC values derived from the studies, no toxicity to organisms was detected up to the substance solubility level.

Conclusion on classification

Fyrolflex BDP is not classified for the environment.
