Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
The chemical structure of Cyanuric acid establishes that it is incapable of reacting exothermically with a combustible material. Therefore a study is scientifically unjustified.

Description of key information

No data. Predicted to be negative.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising

Additional information

According to Annex VII, section 7.13, column 2 of Regulation No. 1907/2006, a study for the oxidising properties does not need to be conducted if the substance is incapable of reacting exothermically with combustible materials, for example on the basis of the chemical structure. The chemical structure of cyanuric acid establishes that it is incapable of reacting exothermically with a combustible material.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Cyanuric acid is determined to be non-oxidising based on its chemical structure. Classification is not required.
