The substance has no pyrophoric properties and does not liberate flammable gases in contact with water.
The substance is not a self-reactive substance or mixture.

Based on chemical structure pyrophoric properties and flammability in contact with water are not to be expected.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-reactive as the heat of decomposition is less than 300 J/g.

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as self-heating as the onset temperature is greater than 220 °C in the Grewer Oven test (screening test).

The substance or mixture does not need to be classified as an organic peroxide as by definition based on their chemical structure the substance is no organic peroxide.

Justification for classification or non-classification

EU Method A.10:

Brief burnig and papidly extinctiont. So the screening test is negative.

According to the classification and labeling criteria of GHS and 67/548/EEC a solid with a burning time < 45 seconds or a burning rate > 2.2 mm/s shall be classified as flammable solid. The substance is a non flammable solid.

Based on the results of the Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) (onset-temperature 290°C, energy release 240 J/g and onset-temperature 395°C, energy release 30 J/g) it is not necessary to conduct experiments to determine the Self Accelerating Decomposition Temperature (SADT) according to UN Recommendations on the transport of dangerous goods, because the energy release is lower than 300 J/g.
