Description of key information

Read across from Alcamizer 5 (EC no: 422-150-1): Magnesium aluminium hydroxide carbonate is not self-ignitable up to 400°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Alcamizer 5 (an analogue substance) was tested in an EEC Directive 92/69 A.16 (according to GLP principles) and showed no self-ignition up to 400 ºC. Based on the results of Alcamizer 5, it is concluded that [carbonato(2 -)]hexadecahydroxybis(aluminium)hexamagnesium is not self-ignitable.
