Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Following a decision by ECHA a study was performed for Determination of toxicity of sulfamic acid towards reproduction of Eisenia andrei BOUCHÉ in an artificial soil according to OECD 222 using five concentrations ranging from 100 to 1000 mg/kg dry soil. After 28 days, the living adult animals were counted and 28 days later, the number of juveniles produced was determined.

No adult animals were found dead in any treatment or control after the first 28 days test duration. At the two highest concentrations (560 mg/kg and 1000 mg/kg) significant inhibition of reproduction (51% and 87% respectively) was observed.

The following results were determined for the test item sulfamic acid (species: Eisenia andrei).

28d-LC50 >1000mg/kg dry soil

56d-EC10 = 290 mg/kg dry soil

56d-EC50 = 560 mg/kg dry soil
