Additional information

C.I. Pigment Red 104 is a solid, inorganic substance and will therefore not evaporate into the atmosphere. The solubility of the substance is very low and thus the substance will not dissolve in water. Furthermore the undissolved substance is not expected to adsorb to sediment and soil.

Chromate ions (CrO42-) and lead ions (Pb²+) may dissociate from the substance. Lead and chromium may adsorb to suspended particles, sediment and soil. Thus, when released to the environment moieties dissolving from the parent substance will probably mainly be found in sediment and soil. A minor part of the dissolved metal ions may be found in water.
