Description of key information

The vapour pressure of troclosene sodium at 20°C was found to be less than 0.006 Pa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.006 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The vapour pressure of NaDCC was determined (Trehy & Adamove 1991). A measured volume of nitrogen or air is passed through a column packed with the test compound in order to saturate the nitrogen or air with the test compound. The test compound is then extracted from the saturated air onto a Tenax absorbent. The amount of material absorbed is determined and the vapour pressure is calculated from the amount of test material in the saturated nitrogen or air.
