Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

A full Tier 1 and Tier 2 hydrolysis study was performed on TPSA according to OECD 111 guidelines. TPSA rapidly hydrolyzed at 50 ºC in the Tier 1 test. TPSA was found to be hydrolytically unstable at pH 4, 7 and 9 at temperatures of 15, 25 and 35 ºC. At 25 ºC, the calculated half-life (DT50) was 33 minutes at pH 4, 21 minutes at pH 7 and 1.3 minutes at pH 9. Aqueous abiotic hydrolysis is expected to contribute significantly to the degradation of TPSA under conditions associated with typical use and exposure.
