Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The toxicity of the substance to the unicellular freshwater green alga Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined according to the principles of OECD 201 and Council Regulation (EC) No. 266/2016/Method C.3 for the determination of the effects on growth rate and yield over a period of 72 hours. The study was conducted under static conditions with an initial cell density of 5416 cells/ml. Five concentrations were tested in a geometrical series with a factor of √10: 1.17 - 3.70 - 11.7 -37.0 - 117 mg test item/l. The concentrations of the test item were analytically verified at the start (0 hours) and at the end of the exposure (72 hours) in all concentration levels and in the control.

The analytically measured concentrations were in the range of 92 - 102 % of the nominal concentrations at test start and 90 - 97% of the nominal concentrations at test end. Three replicates were tested for each test item concentration and six replicates for the control. The environmental conditions were within the acceptable limits.

The EC50-values for inhibition of growth rate (ErC50) and yield (EyC50) after 72 hours were 82.5 (77.2 – 88.6) mg/l and 35.5 (11.8 - 109) mg/l, respectively. The NOEC for both growth rate and yield were 11.7 mg/l, respectively.
