Description of key information

In a weight-of evidence approach using three different test systems (ready

biodegradation, inherent biodegradation, QSAR) no relevant biodegradation was observed.

Additional information

The biodegradation of the substance was investigated in a modified MITI test corresponding to OECD 301C . The degree of biodegradation by BOD is reported to be 0% (CITI, 1992). The substance triethyl phosphate cannot be considered readily biodegradable.

The biodegradation of the substance was investigated in a Zahn-Wellens test (OECD 302B). 98% biodegradation of the test substance was seen in 21 days under the conditions of this study (Kanne, 1987). As the pass level was not reached after 7 days, this result does not lead to a "inherently biodegradable".
