Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
According to REACh Annex XI / section 2, flammability study UN N1 relevant for classification criteria under IUCLID Section 4.13 does not apply to liquids. Please refer to Flash Point under IUCLID section 4.11.

Description of key information

According to REACH Regulation (EC) 1907/2006 Annex XI, the flammability is deduced from flash point (115°C, literature; see IUCLID section 4.11).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

A waiver is proposed for this endpoint. Moreover, the substance has a long history of use as a flame retardant and can therefore justifiably be considered to be non-flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008 (CLP) criteria, the measured flash point is above the threshold values of 60°C, therefore the substance is NOT considered as a flammable liquid.
