Additional information

No exposure of the terrestrial compartment of AKD is expected. AKD hydrolyses under the conditions of use and is readily biodegradable. This, in combination with the absence of effects at test concentrations of 100 mg/kg in short term tests, makes it possible to conclude that the substance not will cause adverse effects to organisms in the soil compartment.

Based on the high log Kow of 14.2 and the absence of exposure to soil organisms it is concluded that the bioaccumulation potential is low, and therefore no bioaccumulation and thereby no secondary poisoning of birds is expected.
