In this experimental system no decay of nitrobenzene was observed outside of the analytical uncertainties. Hence, the upper limit of the reaction rate constant was determined to be 7E-13 cm3/(molecules.sec). Given an OH-concentration of 5E+05 molecules.cm-3 this leads to an atmospheric half-life of more than 23 days.For calculation of half-life, a 24 hour day was assumed.
