Description of key information
A GLP-study according to OECD guideline 209 is available for propylene glycol methyl ether. This study is supported by a non-GLP according to DIN guideline 38412.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
A respiration inhibition test (OECD Guide Line 209) was conducted, according to GLP, on activated sludge obtained from a local municipal waste water treatment plant. Based on the nominal concentration, IC50 was determined in this study to be superior to 1,000 mg/L. The NOEC value is 1,000 mg/l.
This value is supported by a non-GLP study according to DIN 38412 guideline, showing less than 10% inhibition at 10'000 mg/l.
