Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Effect levels
Sex:
female
Dose descriptor:
LD50
Effect level:
> 2 000 mg/kg bw
Remarks on result:
other: 95% CL: not applicable
Mortality:
No mortality occured.
Clinical signs:
Hunched posture was noted in all animals on Day 1. In addition piloerection was noted in one animal on Day 1.
Body weight:
The mean body weight gain shown by the animals over the study period was considered to be similar to that expected of normal untreated animals of the same age and strain. The incidence of slight body weight loss or reduced body weight gain between days 8 and 15 in individual animals were considered not indicative of toxicity, based on the absence of any corroborative findings in these animals.
Gross pathology:
No abnormalities were found at macroscopic post mortem examination of the animals.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified
Remarks:
Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: EU
Conclusions:
The oral LD50 value of the test substance in Wistar rats was established to exceed 2000 mg/kg body weight.
According to the OECD 423 test guideline the LD50 cutt-off value was considered to exceed 5000 mg/kg body weight.

There were minor deviations from the protocol which did not adversely affect the study integrity; validity criteria have been fulfilled.
