DCDPS is not toxic acute toxic to aquatic micro-organisms.

The absence of acute toxic effects on and above the level of water solubility (i.e. 0.86 mg/L, Boelhouwers 2004) has been confirmed by a valid and conclusive guideline studies under GLP on non-adapted activated sludge from sewage water treatment plants according to OECD TGD 209 in two independent experiments (Eisner 2009, N.N. BASF 2009).
Thus it is to conclude that DCDPS is not toxic to aerobic sewage water treatment plant micro-organisms at the limit of its enhanced water solubility and bactericidal effects in environmental compartments are not likely.
