The lowest temperature at which the application of the ignition source causes the vapor of the test portion tp ignite and propagate over the surface of the liquid was recorded as the flash point at the ambient barometric pressure (1018 hPa). This temperature was corrected automatically by the apparatus to standard atmospheric pressure (1013 hPa).
