Description of key information

The acute 48-hour LC50 value for Polyol 80 (contained 86% glycerol) to Daphnia magna was examined. Under the conditions of the study, the 48-hour No Adverse Effect Level of Polyol 80 to Daphnia magna is less than 320 mg/L and 100 percent mortality was greater than 3200 mg/L and the LC50 was 1955 (1851 to 2068) mg/L. The 24 hr EC50 for mobility in Daphnia magna was determined with glycerin. The 24 hour EC50 for glycerin with Daphnia magna is >10,000 mg/L.

These values are above the limit dose of 100 mg/L.
