Using a linear increase in temperature of about 0.5 °C/min, the test item showed exothermic reaction with a maximum about 640 °C after the oven obtained 400°C. At the end of the measurement a red fine glowing powder remained in the sample tube. On the surface the residue was powdery while underneath the substance was black and carbonized.

A self-ignition temperature of >400°C has been entered although the test substance is not auto-flammable according to the criteria as described in the guideline.
