Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

the study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid non flammable in air, e.g. no flash point up to 200°C

Description of key information

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid non flammable in air, e.g. no flash point up to 200 °C (cf. Annex VII, Section 7.12, Column 2 of Regulation (EC) 1907/2006).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is a liquid non flammable in air, e.g. no flash point up to 200 °C (cf. Annex VII section 7.12 Column 2 of regulation (EC) 1907/2006). Self-ignition is not considered to be of relevance for this substance, since this would require heat to be developed either by reaction of this substance with oxygen or by exothermic decomposition and which is not lost rapidly enough to the surroundings. It can safely be assumed that this compound will not ignite under the conditions given in EU Method A.15. In conclusion, the conduct of further experimental verification is not considered to be required.
