Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2008-01-29 to 2008-04-09
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
228.4 g/L
Incubation duration:
>= 72 - <= 144 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
6.8
Details on results:
The concentration measured between the 4 sampling dates between 72 and 144 hours differed not more than 15% during the sampling dates and no tendency of increasing values were observed. So a saturation of the water phase with the test item in this period can be assumed and the water solubility is calculated as the mean value of the results between 72 and 144 hours.
Conclusions:
Interpretation of results: very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
The water solubility of the test item ammonium dimolybdate in bidistilled water (being in equilibrium with atmospheric carbon dioxide) at 20 ± 0.5 °C is determined to be 228.4 g/L. The pH of the saturated solution was pH 6.8.

Description of key information

Ca. 228 g/L at 20 °C (study result, OECD TG 105, standard water solubility).

In addition to the standard OECD TG 105 water solubility study, the substance has also been tested in a bioelution study (in vitro bioaccessibility) in artificial gastric juice. This test and the results are described in the stand-alone document „MoCon read-across concept (human health)“, which is attached to the technical dossier in IUCLID section 13.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
