Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
A flash point value of 87°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the substance using a relevant test method. The result is considered to be reliable.

Description of key information

Flash point: 87°C at 1013 hPa (ISO 3679)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
87 °C

Additional information

A measured flash point of 87°C at 1013 hPa was determined for the registration substance using a rapid equilibrium method in accordance with ISO 3679 Test Method and in compliance with a known quality system (ISO 9001:2008). The result is considered to be reliable, and the study is selected as key study.

In available secondary sources to which reliability could not be assigned, flash point values of 82°C and 90°C at 1013 hPa were reported for the substance.

A measured flash point of 87°C at 1013 hPa and a measured boiling point of 198.4°C at 1013 hPa, indicate that the substance should not be classified for flammability according to the criteria of Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
