Conclusion on classification

The classification of DCBS is not contained in Annex I of Directive 67/548/EEC nor in the regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. Self-classification revealed, that DCBS is not classified for hazards in the environment. The non-classification is based on following information:

- DCBS is poorly water soluble with a water solubility about 0.002 mg/l

- No acute and no chronic toxicity of DCBS was observed up to its water solubility;

- DCBS is not readily biodegradable (Bayer, 1989);

- A classification according to H413 ("safety net") can be ruled out as chronic studies, e.g . in daphnia do not show any effects.
