Supporting study: The lethal time (LT50, time to 50% population mortality) for Dendroctonus rufipennis (spruce beetle ) was 12.9 hours. Mortality of 83 % of beetles at 80 ppm was observed after 24 hours of exposure. The lethal time (LT50, time to 50% population mortality) for Dendroctonus simplexs (spruce beetle ) was 16.3 hours. Mortality of 77 % of beetles at 80 ppm was observed after 24 hours of exposure.

Toxicity to birds:

Supporting study: The LD50 (18 h) for Redwinged blackbirds (Agelaius phoeniceus) was greater or equal to 96.0 mg/kg bw (basis for effect: mortality).
