PETIA was tested for toxicity to fish, invertebrates and algae. The lowest acute toxicity value was found forcommon carp, with a 96 h LC50 of 3.2 mg/L (measured, as WAF).In aquatic biodegradation testing, PETIA proved to be not readily biodegradable. As a result, PETIA qualifies for environmental classification as N; R51/53 according to Directive 67/548/EC. Under CLP (Regulation EC 1272/2008), this corresponds to ‘Chronic aquatic hazard, Category 2 - H411’.
