Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In a GLP compliant study, conducted to current accepted guidelines (OECD 103), the test material decomposes at 286 °C at 102.18 kPa. Therefore the boiling point was estimated by calculation. The boiling point of the test material was determiend to be 500 °C at 101.325 kPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
500

Additional information

The key study provided for this data requirement was Butler & White (2010). The study was performed to a current OECD guideline and in complaince with GLP. The study was accordingly assigned a reliability score of 1 and considered adequate for use as a key study.

Supporting studies included information taken from 3 MSDS's from Gelest, Merck and Atofina, boiling points reported were 224°C at 1 mm Hg, 268°C at 13 hPa (1.3 kPa) and 195 -198°C at 0.01 Torr respectively. There is very limited information on methods for these endpoints.
