Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a guideline study conducted in compliance with OECD 301A the ready biodegradability was tested. Based on the determined DOC removal, a degradation rate of 90 - 100 % within 3 days was detected (BASF AG, 1994). The result is supported by a second study set up according to OECD guideline 301F. The O2 consumption of activated sludge was recorded for 28 days and a degradation rate of 94 % was determined (Givaudan-Roure SA, 1994).
