Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

EL50 (72 h, growth rate) >100 mg/L (nominal) (Scenedesmus subspicatus, OECD 201)
NOELR (72 h, growth rate) ≥100 mg/L (nominal) (Scenedesmus subspicatus, OECD 201)
No effects up to the limit of the water solubility of the substance.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One limit test with the green alga Scenedesmus subspicatus (Mead and Mullee, 2000) was conducted according to OECD guideline 201 and GLP. The algae were exposed to a water accomodated fraction (WAF) of 100 mg/L nominal loading. No effects were observed in the range of water solubility, thus the result is given as EL50 >100 mg/L (nominal) for growth rate and biomass, with a related NOELR of ≥ 100 mg/L. Chemical analysis of the 100 mg/L loading rate WAFs at 0 and 72 h showed the measured test concentrations to be less than the limit of quantification of the analytical method (0.18 mg/L).
