First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Obtain medical attention if
symptoms develop.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Obtain
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected area with soap and water after removing
contaminated clothing. Obtain medical advice if necessary.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash mouth out and drink plenty of water. Obtain medical
attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Use carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam or water spray.

Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon, nitrogen or sulphur.

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing and full
protective equipment. Caution should be used when
approaching a fire.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: In the event of a large spillage;

Review Safety Data Sheet. Contain the source of spill or
leak, avoid environmental contamination.


Wear an air suit, rubber gloves and wellington boots and
carefully collect the spillage by using a HEPA vacuum,
transfiring it to a sealed container. Wipe away any
residual powder with a damp cloth and place in a labelled
container for disposal. Wash down contaminated area with
copious amounts of water and detergent. Avoid dry sweeping.


In the event of a small spillage;

Wear skin, eye and respiratory protection. Collect up the
material, and transfer to a suitably labelled, sealed
container for disposal. Clean spillage area thoroughly with
detergent and water.

Handling and storage

Handling: Skin, eye and respiratory protection should be worn to avoid
contact with the material.


For the raw material:

-Disposable tyvek (a protective garment made of 100% high
density polyethylene) or re-useable suits with hood, 100%
pEHD. (Tyvek protect 1431), anti-statics. According to EU
standards.

-Natural latex gloves or disposable latex gloves, inside
100% cotton (EN 420, EN 374) should be worn.

-The use of a full-face negative pressure respirator (EN136
and EN 141) equipped with HEPA cartridge and local exhaust
ventilation is recommended to be worn. To control dust and
must not be recirculated. Dust filter, cartridge type
A2B2E2K2P3 along with Silicone googles and replacement
filter, along with splash proof goggles (EN 166).


(Less protection may be appropriate if containment equipment
such as a glove box or fume hood with a face velocity of
100 feet per minute or greater is used).

Storage: The test substance is stored in two PE liner one specfic
sealed aluminium foil pouch in a cardboard drum (the
quantity of SBECD is 20 kg/drum).

Average inventory is about 700 kg. drums are stored under a
pallet indoor warehouse.

The clearly labelled, sealed container should be stored in a
cool, dry, well ventilated area.


Packaging: The substance is shipped in 50kg quantities in
polyethylene bags inside 35 gallon fibre drums.
